Biosecurity includes the management practices that reduce the potential for the introduction or spread of infectious pathogens onto and between farms.

Crytosporidium control requires both biosecurity and targeted prophylactic treatment.

Biosecurity Protocol

Step 01

SCRAPING - DRY CLEANING

  1. Remove the food, disassemble the removable equipment, dust.
  2. Dry clean all internal surfaces. Concrete floor: remove manure, scrape and sweep the floor.
Step 02

CLEANING

  1. Scouring: Scour the surfaces with a high-pressure pump (100 bar) to remove dirt, favoring water flow instead of high pressure which can damage surfaces.
  2. Foaming: Soak all surfaces with DT FOAM®: 2 L for 100 L of water. Apply with a foam sprayer. To optimise the quality of washing and disinfection, leave on for 15 to 30 minutes.
  3. Rinsing: Completely rinse all surfaces with the high pressure pump.
Step 03

DISINFECTION BY SPRAYING

  1. Disinfection: Disinfect all access corridors and the dock by spraying or foaming with a foam sprayer. PROPHYL® S: 2 L per 100 L of water > EFFECTIVE ON CRYPTO-COCCI.
Step 04

SANITARY BREAK

24 to 48 hours - The barn must be dry.
